Confidential v. Confidential
Area of Law: Employee Benefits/Labor Law
State Filed: California
Settlement: Sixty-six thousand dollars
Settlement Amount: 66,000
I represented a senior level financial employee of a small company. The employee noticed some irregular billing practices and complained about it to management. He was fired within days thereafter. Discovery revealed that the employee had been absent from work a lot and had himself engaged in some “irregular” accounting. Nevertheless, we were able to resolve the case for $66,000. In addition, Defendant paid for various expenses so that Plaintiff’s recovery was higher than it otherwise would be.
