Author Anne Lamott says, “You can safely assume you’ve created God in your own image when it turns out that god hates all the same people you do.” “Eh, stick it in your ear. Amen,” replies Sylvia Ann Driskell.
On May 1, 2015, Driskell filed suit in the U. S. District Court of Omaha against all the gay people on Earth. Representing herself, God and Jesus, the 66 year old Nebraska woman brought the suit as “an ambassador for God and Jesus Christ” against all earth-bound homosexuals for breaking religious and moral laws.
The 7-page handwritten petition cites Webster’s Dictionary, and Bible passages from Leviticus, Lamentations, “Jenesis” and others, alleging: “[H]omosexuality is a sin and that the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality. Why else would they have been hiding in the closet.”
The petition further alleges, “Never before has our great Nation the United State of America and our great State of Nebraska; been besiege by sin:”
The petition does not request money damages, though I smell a “GoFundMe Page.”
The Court has not yet issued a summons for Ambassador Driskell’s petition.
