New DNA evidence has been presented at the murder trial of Trayvon Martin. The gun and holster were tested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and it was found that the only DNA on the gun was that of George Zimmerman. The prosecuter will say this proves that Trayvon Martin never went for the gun, while the defense will say this just means George shot Trayvon before he could get ahold of the gun.
George Zimmerman was a neighborhood watch volunteer that had followed Trayvon Martin while on the phone with the police. Some say he profiled an innocent non-violent teen who was just going to the store for some skittles and ice tea, and then violently attacked him. Others say that he was just trying to follow Trayvon until the police got there at which point Trayvon attacked George.
At the end of the day it will be up to the Jury of his peers to decide his fate.
